The Decision Support/Financial Analyst will be dedicated to supporting Woman’s through data mining, analyzing, and condensing information into packages and business proposals so that leaders throughout the system can drive operational and business improvements. This role will also serve as the primary driver of the productivity system and capital analysis.
Role will include data validation and integrity of output for the productivity and capital systems along with assisting with costing and management reporting as needed. An active and on-going understanding of data within the Electronic Health Record, Billing Systems and Accounting Systems will be required. Analyst should be able to monitor and interpret federal and state reimbursement regulations and understand payment methodologies and tables.
Will be required to multi-task utilizing organizational and process tools and techniques. Must have a passion for change and identifying efficiencies. Must be an effective communicator and independent worker who will be a key leader in changing how data and analytics is configured, delivered, and supported.
Will cross train with others in the department to ensure workloads are balanced and projects are completed in support of Woman’s Hospital strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or healthcare related (including clinical) fields.
- Working knowledge of financial analysis, accounting or experience in clinical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develops pro formas and other business and strategy tools that create useful data for informed business decisions.
- Utilizes the cost accounting system in analysis and ensures information pulled is relevant, accurate and addresses the needs of the stakeholder(s).
- Assists with the financial and capital budgeting process to include development of departmental budgets and related reporting.
- Works with assigned operational departments on monthly financial variance analysis processes and reporting within the management reporting software.
- Working with stakeholders creates return on investment and total cost of ownership analysis for capital and construction requests.
- Understands the EHR functions to utilize in reporting, analysis and improved outcomes.
- Assists with ensuring proper build and maintenance of the organization’s management and analytic tools (cost accounting, management reporting, capital, productivity, forecasting and other) to include data validation, data reconciliation and report writing.
- Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Full-Time; Monday - Friday
Pay Range:
Salary/Exempt
$52,400 – $83,800
