Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino is a luxurious facility with Monte Carlo-style décor, located in the city of Gardena. The facility matches the plushest Las Vegas casinos, offering full-service cuisine and attentive service that compares to the finest hotels. The 55,000-square foot, $50 million facility is open 24 hours a day; 365 days a year specializing in classic card games, with more than 80 tables ranging from Black Jack and Texas Hold’em to California Games such as Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat, Pai Gow Tiles and more. It has long been home to the largest seed progressive poker jackpots in the State of California.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

High Limit Poker Ambassador is responsible for the development of players and increased operations of our high limit poker games (5/10+ NL, 5/5+ PLO, and $25/50+Limit)

Wage: $16.00 an hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing consistent, prompt, and courteous service at all times under all conditions.
• Create a friendly and exciting atmosphere as well as recognize and greet guests.
• Be aware of all guest development promotions and current giveaways that draw guests to the casino and make decisions on granting comps to guests in accordance with the casino criteria.
• Explain all current promotions to the guest in a clear and concise manner that would encourage player participation.
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of all games in assigned section, both at the dealer and player levels and report to Surveillance and/or Casino Management if questionable transactions have occurred and/or at appropriate win/loss levels.
• Recruit new players to participate in specific poker games.
• Play in poker games to help start, hold, and create a fun environment.
• Work closely with management to develop new promotions and incentives to increase player base.
• Have a clear understanding of gaming in order to explain certain games to new guests.
• Adhere to all gaming controls and procedures and ensure subordinates comply with the same.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Position requires excellent guest and public relations skills. Must be willing to stand for long periods of time and maintain strong telephone skills. Handle patron’s needs as it relates to gaming and other services that Hustler Casino provides.
• Should have a strong rolodex of existing players.

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

• A High School diploma or general education degree
• Successful completion of Certified Dealer School

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to understand the hands associated with all poker variants.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of management.
• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must read game layout; wagers, winning/losing wagers, etc., and read computer monitor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
• Ability to express complex concepts in a clear manner
• Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in letters, memos and reports
• Foreign language skills a must
• Able to read, write, and speak English

• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to work various shifts
• 24-hour operation with a very fast paced environment

CASINO REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a Gardena Police Department/City issued Casino Work Permit.
