ABOUT THE ROLE: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for arranging emergency transportation and providing medical care safely and efficiently to guests and team members who may require emergent or non-emergent medical service on property.
- Provides emergency medical care and renders First-Aid/Basic Life Saving treatment to guests and team members when required, within limits of certification.
- Makes decisions for outside emergency medical response and prepares patient for transport to medical facilities.
- Assists in coordination of emergency medical situations.
- Documents and composes Injury/Illness report for each medical incident and collects witness statements when necessary.
- Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions to leadership.
- Completes required checklists for inventory and inspections of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies and treatment areas.
- Performs all other medical duties as assigned and shall not be utilized in a security function unless permitted as a security officer.
- Complies with company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- Maintains a well-groomed appearance which reflects the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department.
- Sets an example to be a role model for all personnel through observance of all departmental policies and procedures.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for this role is empathetic, compassionate, and has a desire to help others. The candidate has a great sense of urgency and able to think quickly and accurately in high-pressure situations. He or she has experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to work in a casino.
- Must possess an active Louisiana EMT Basic license or above
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year experience as an EMT preferred
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good oral and written communication skills including tact when handling challenging guests; must read, write, speak, and understand English

- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when necessary
