Basic Job Functions:
Verco Decking/Vulcraft are looking for a sales representative for the Orange County, CA, and Sacramento sales offices. The Sales Representative (Sales Rep) will be primarily responsible for taking care of our customers by building and sustaining strong, engaged relationships. This includes assisting in the development of an effective territory marketing plan, as well as capturing market volume and executing our pricing strategy. They would also need to ensure that the highest standards of service are maintained through professional, informative, and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers. Additionally, Sales Representatives are responsible for accurately estimating joist and deck requirements from contract documents while assisting in the coordination of engineering, fabrication, and delivery of our products. This role calls for a high level of collaboration with sales and non-sales teammates within the entire Vulcraft/Verco group to drive enterprise-wide results. The Sales Rep must be willing and able to travel frequently. Must be willing to relocate to the either Orange County, CAL or Sacramento, CA (if applicable).

Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong commitment to Safety
Bachelor’s degree or 1-2+ years in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or sales experience.

Preferences:
Two or more years of experience in the steel joist and deck industry.
Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, along with a general understanding of construction progress.
Willingness to relocate to a Nucor facility or District Sales Office in the future.
