Titans Summer Program Instructors work with a group of up to 20 students from TK - 6th graders. Daily tasks consist of but are not limited to tutoring and educational enrichment. Titans Summer Program Instructors must be available to work five (5) days a week (Monday-Friday) and can work either the morning shift 7:00 am - 12:30 pm or the afternoon shift 12:00 pm - 4:45 pm. Titans Summer Program Instructors must have high energy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fun and organized atmosphere. Summer Program Instructors will work with students and provide a wide array of enrichment activities that incorporate Arts and crafts, Science, Leadership skills, Sport skills, and will cultivate student engagement.
Summer Program is anticipated to start June 3rd and end June 28th. Training for the program is anticipated to begin late April.
*Please be aware that funding for this position is awarded through a Grant/Contract over a specified period. Employment for this position beyond current Grant/Contract funding is contingent upon continued funding.
Essential Duties
Implements all Titans program rules and procedures.
Directly works with students.
Provides tutoring and help students meet national standards.
Provides students with educational enrichment which may include positive youth development strategies, recreation and prevention activities, and the ability to teach youth positive life skills.
Works collaboratively with staff members at the site.
Responsible for Titans program property such as curriculum materials and electronics that have been given to them or checked out for use. If these items are not returned or reported lost, the employee will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Ensures the students receive constant supervision and always provides a safe and supported environment.
May be asked to stay past the scheduled time when students are picked up past normal check-out time.
Responsible to collect all attendance documents and any other documents needed at the end of programming every day.
Must always display professionalism.
Must attend all weekly staff meetings.
Responsible to support their supervisor by following their directions.
Communicates regularly with the Site Coordinator regarding all aspects of the program at the designated site.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and Google Drive (i.e. Docs, Sheets).
Ability to solely manage a classroom of 20-23 students.
Understanding of behavior management and effective disciplinary techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills.
Ability to keep track of all curriculum and binders at the site.
Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
Proven leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Must be flexible, team-oriented, child-focused, and wanting to make a difference in children’s lives.

EDUCATION:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged sitting in front of the computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands or arms, stooping, kneeling, tasting or smell.
