POSITION SUMMARY The Mold Repair Technician will be responsible for basic mold repairs and maintaining Plastic Injection Molds
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Using company software, monitor and track progress of job towards completion
Follow written as well as verbal lineups
File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify molds ,dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools
Inspect finished molds for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects
Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers
Set up and operate drill presses, surface grinders, manual mills, lathes to manufacture and or modify parts for assembly
Perform final assembly of the mold
Repair and fitting of tool components and assembly of components into mold base for finished tool
Broad knowledge of molding and mold repair with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Assist in Training and advising apprentices

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum of one year experience in mold or tool repair related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Forklift/Boom/Scissor Certification
