Senior Manager, Payroll & Equity (Remote)
The Senior Manager, Payroll & Equity is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role also encompasses the management of the payroll tax, payroll technology, and equity programs. You will have a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and the ability to implement process improvements.
What You Will Do:
Payroll Operations: Manage and coordinate US and international payroll operations, payroll taxes, and equity programs. This includes file transmissions, reconciliations, and final payroll approvals each pay period.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to these requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Payroll Audits: Complete thorough reviews of payroll audit reports, making corrections as needed, and ensure payroll accuracy. Spearhead the annual year-end W-2 reconciliation process.
Process Improvements: Identify, create, and improve standard processes within the payroll team. Streamline operations to enhance efficiency and ensure customer service.
Employee Stock Purchase and Equity Program: Manage and oversee the administration of the employee stock purchase and equity programs. Ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with regulations, and timely processing of related payroll items.
Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation and filing of payroll tax forms as required. Support the Payroll Tax team by determining payroll liabilities, including federal and state income and Social Security taxes, and employer-related liabilities like unemployment and worker’s compensation.
SOX Compliance: Establish and maintain payroll controls and payroll-related procedures for SOX compliance.
Team lead: Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. Set clear team goals and delegate tasks and set deadlines for your internal team
What You Will Bring With You:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, which must include 2 years in payroll management
Knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
What We’d Like You To Bring With You:
Experience with Costpoint and payroll providers such as ADP or Workday
Proficiency in payroll software and SOX-compliant systems.
Experience managing employee stock purchase and equity programs.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
Professional Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial and conflicting data.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$102,285.00 - $173,884.00
