Job Abstract

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedures and patient care. Conducts other related duties assigned and maintains knowledge of other areas in the department. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. The Technologist is competent in production of quality examinations for proper treatment and diagnosis by the physician. Maintains clean examination rooms. Reports equipment problems to Supervisor or Charge Technologists. Assists Radiologists with special examinations. Competent in the operation of the MIS system.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed by the State of New Jersey.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider course completion status.
• Successful completion of all required orientation programs.
