Selection Components:

Application Evaluation: The most qualified applicants will be invited to an interview.
Interview: Tentatively scheduled for the week of August 5, 2024. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list and may be invited to begin the background process.

Experience & Education and License/Certificate

A combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: One year experience working with animals is desirable.

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

License/Certificate: Due to the performance of some field duties which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, P.O.S.T PC 832 certification within one year of appointment.
