Requirements / Qualifications
THE POSITION: Under general direction, this position is responsible for facilitating, managing, and providing activities that expand upon the content of the regular school day for elementary and middle school students; may direct the activities of other Extended School Program personnel. This classification is assigned to a work schedule consistent with the operation of the Extended School Program, which may differ from the regular school district calendar and work schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: [1] graduation from high school and an twelve (12) college units in child development, physical education, recreation or closely related subjects leading to a total of twenty (24 ) units, plus an additional sixteen (16) general education units within five (5) years of employment; must take at least 3 units per semester until all units are reached with a C grade or better on coursework from an accredited college, plus fifty (50) days of three plus (3+) hours per day within the past two (2) years of experience.
If you have at least 12 units or credit hours of college coursework in child development, physical education, recreation or closely related subjects, you are eligible to waive the written examination by attaching unofficial transcripts to your application. Your GPA will be converted to your written examination score.

LICENSES: The possession of or the securing of a valid CPR & First-aid Certificate, or the completion of the Westminster School District basic first-aid training program, within thirty (30) days of employment in this classification.
