What you'll do...
Operational Excellence: Possess knowledge of: regulatory and reporting requirements; Standard Operating Procedure documentation; key functional roles within assigned department. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Evaluates relevant industry practices from an operations perspective and works accordingly; works to resolve obstacles to goals of several organizational functions; advises others to carry out responsibilities based on understanding of key organizational functions; designs awareness programs for multi- and cross-functional issues of the regulatory environment; facilitates interrelationships between major functions and subfunctions; recommends efficiencies in operational functions and One Best Way documentation when possible; monitors organizational compliance with policies and procedures; facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the facility and related partner functions; applies regulatory programs as needed to comply with major products, processes, or business areas; provides recommendations and solutions to existing and potential legal or regulatory problems.
Schematics and Technical Drawings: Possess Knowledge of: common drafting tools, procedures, and processes; blueprints; technical drawing specifications. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Prepares sketches and blueprints for wiring and equipment; performs routine changes to computerized schematics or drawings; defines sub-systems or components; prepares design documents and blueprints; coaches others on the interpretation of blueprints, including 2D and 3D design drawings, detailed design drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials; reviews drawings and specifications to ensure that detailed requirements are addressed.
Task Delegation: Possess knowledge of: Task delegation techniques; progress monitoring tools and processes. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Involves people in decision-making processes for delegation of facilities management responsibilities, encouraging them to take accountability. ensures proper levels of formal authority and coaches on informal authority; uses varying approaches to assess capabilities of individuals and teams; solicits feedback and guidance from those to whom tasks are delegated; provides oversight, resolving issues as needed; delegates appropriate levels of responsibility and authority.
Vendor Management: Possess Knowledge of: Vendor policies; vendor request processes; vendor quality standards. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Evaluates issues and provides recommendations on terminating vendor relationships as needed; works with Legal; develops quality standards and controls for vendor management and selection; ensures the fulfillment of report and record-keeping requirements; monitors supplier performance; resolves discrepancies between vendor performance and agreements; builds and maintains partnerships with multiple and/or large vendors; facilitates supplier partnering arrangements that share risks and rewards.
Negotiation: Possess knowledge of: Negotiation techniques, tactics, tools, systems, and processes; methods to create "win-win" opportunities for partners and the organization; relationship and stakeholder management techniques; communication practices. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Conducts a range of negotiations for the business area; assesses and leads fact-based decisions in high-risk situations and educates others on negotiation strategies; mitigates and resolves disagreements by proactively anticipating objections and adjusting negotiating approaches; adheres to and coaches others on company and regulatory retailer-supplier relationship processes, values, and policies; mitigates risks through due diligence; seeks guidance on and escalates complex legal and/or regulatory issues as needed; disseminates verbal and written communications in response to other parties' positions and sets foundational structures for desired outcomes.
Data & Digital Literacy: Possess Knowledge of: Data collection modes, techniques, and tools; data analytics and visualization tools and techniques; existing and upcoming digital applications; technology innovation trends and industry benchmarks; data quality governance. To be able to: Articulates the need and requirements for advanced analytical tools to the appropriate teams for development; Applies advanced analytics techniques to enable real-time decisions and data-led actionable insights and deploys appropriate models for analysis; defines policies for data governance and creates techniques to validate data quality; identifies potential challenges and introduces new technologies while planning for effective change management; partners with Data Science teams to build, test, and implement solutions in support of business objectives.
Electrical Systems and Controls: Possess Knowledge of: Wiring schematics; electrical inspection procedures; electrician tools; safety codes and regulations. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Demonstrates expertise in wiring schematics to drive innovation in electrical systems and compliance; adheres to electrical safety practices to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements; works with various I/O device in order to control conveyor logic (for example, gapping, sorting, diverting); inspects critical equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and designs; installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring and lighting; maintains and repairs electrical heating and ventilation equipment; troubleshoots control circuits; oversees and carries out all activities and tasks associated with electrician services; ensures compliance with applicable safety codes.
Custodial Activities: Possess knowledge of: Operational requirements of floor-cleaning equipment; tools, machines, and company-approved chemicals used to perform routine cleaning procedures. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Creates a feedback mechanism of internal and external customers for custodial quality control and improvement; leads the discussion of new and emerging trends in custodial processes, equipment, and supplies; leads strategy and business goals orientations for the custodial department; establishes custodial best practices to achieve a clean and sterile environment; develops custodial policies and processes while following applicable safety and compliance standards; assesses staff training needs on custodial designs and initiates related training programs across the department.
Influential Communication: Possess knowledge of: Verbal/nonverbal behaviors; application and allocation of business communication styles/techniques in ambiguous and challenging situations; situational awareness; communication channels/mediums; interpersonal skills and universal relationship building with ability to connect seemingly unconnected parties; influencing styles. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Leads discussions with varying viewpoints; presents to and influences diverse audiences across divisions using appropriate frameworks/tools; leverages fact-based data and analytics insights from multiple finance and business domains to build a cohesive narrative, form an argument, organize thoughts, and present in a clear, concise, and meaningful way; demonstrates decision and coordination skills when faced with conflicting or ambiguous inputs; acts as a trusted advisor to diverse business partners, influencing them to act as needed to move the business forward; provides effective, timely feedback to others; seeks, internalizes, and utilizes feedback to make changes.
