The Senior Project Engineer – Electrical is responsible for driving improvements in plant infrastructure, process equipment, and production processes through both capital and non-capital projects. The incumbent’s top priority is for the health and safety of all site-level employees.
Duties/Responsibilities
Define, manage, and complete capital and non-capital projects to meet objectives
Support a safe working environment in the area of responsibility and correct, or report, unsafe acts or conditions the appropriate channels of resolution
Coordinate the design, construction, fabrication, installation, start-up and modification of plant facilities, equipment, and systems
Utilize a cross-functional team approach, ensuring lines of communication to all affected parties are open and dialogue is free-flowing
Provide general engineering support as needed for day-to-day business needs
Make decisions, both technical and financial, on projects, which are required for the safe, efficient operation of the facility
Make selections of vendors and contractors
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for efficient process and product implementation
Make decisions that affect the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment that impact production efficiencies, customer service, and product quality
Create documentation to support the implementation and execution of all projects
Ability to travel < 10%
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
- What do you bring?
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Studies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer skills (MS Office, CAD)
Knowledge of industrial automation and PLCs
Minimum of five (5) years in project management
Minimum of three (3) years in an industrial setting
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
