The role will work closely with People Operations and cross-functional teams to administer payroll and benefit programs and policies that provide positive impacts and inspire our employees to bring good energy to the world. We are a dynamic, HYBRID workplace so every employee who lives within 100 miles of our offices is expected to come in each TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY. The expected pay scale for this role is $85k to $95k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role. You’re excited about this opportunity because your time will be filled with… Payroll – 35% · Responsible for the timely processing and accuracy of the semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll by managed service provider through final sign-off and approval · Monitors submissions of approved timesheets and ensures valid data transfers to/from payroll software · Coordinate with managers on all timekeeping approvals and exceptions · Responsible for the timely processing of all off-cycle payroll through the managed service provider. Including verifying pay date, tax frequency and deduction information to be included. · Responsible for day-to-day payroll escalations and point of contact for any payroll issues requiring additional assistance · Coordinate the processing and issuance of W-2 forms · Conducts audits on all payroll files, ensuring data accuracy and compliance for all non-exempt and exempt employees · Maintains and audits PTO report for all exempt employees for processing · Responsible for timely manual checks/pay cards for all terminations · Works with the Total Rewards Manager and People Operations team to ensure the accuracy of the LOA pay for all employees · Coordinates all garnishment information with managed service provider · Assist in developing, maintaining and administering payroll policies and procedures · Trains non-exempt employees and managers on timekeeping system and processes Benefits – 35% · Review and approve all new hires, terminations and qualifying life event benefit changes submitted in HCM, ensuring any supporting documentation has been received · Pull weekly reporting out of HCM to follow-up on processes such as new hire enrollments, COBRA paperwork for terminated employees, and Evidence of Insurability tracking · Assist the Total Rewards Manager in updating and maintaining the SPDs (Summary Plan Descriptions) · Manages 401K plan reconciliation and calculation for matching contributions · Ensure monthly vendor invoices are reviewed for accuracy and processed for payment · Facilitates payroll and benefits onboarding sessions for new hires · Supports open enrollment training facilitation and administration · Front line point of contact for employee benefits questions · Manage annual on-site flu shot clinic · Support the annual administration and filings ACA/1095-C Systems & Compliance – 20% · Responsible for the administration of the timekeeping system · Responsible for providing payroll data and information to internal and external auditors · Collaborates with finance on all SOX compliance initiatives · Participates in special projects (Disaster Recovery, system upgrades, testing, etc.) The daily stuff everyone does but few quantify: - 10% · Attending meetings and presentations · Participating in company-wide activities and events galore · Impromptu conversations with colleagues · Admistrivia like email, Teams messaging, calendaring, expense reports, and other non-value-added work Qualifications What are we looking for?
