Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining accurate inventory records of incoming and outgoing metal materials, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of quantities.
Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating shipments, and optimizing transportation routes.
Leading and motivating warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Coordinating maintenance and repair activities for warehouse equipment used in handling non-ferrous metals, such as sorting machines, balers, and shears.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within warehouse operations for non-ferrous metals, implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices for handling and storing non-ferrous metal materials, including waste management and pollution prevention measures.
Preparing regular reports on warehouse activities related to non-ferrous metals, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and safety performance, to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
To join our team:
You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or metallurgy (preferred)
You have proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the non-ferrous metal recycling industry
You have strong knowledge of non-ferrous metals and their properties, grades, and market values
You have leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams
You are familiar with safety regulations and best practices in handling non-ferrous metals
You are experienced with inventory management systems and software
You have a analytical mindset and ability to identify and implement process improvements
You have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
