Job Abstract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to lead our efforts in developing comprehensive solutions for Qualcomm and Nvidia-based ARM devices running Windows on ARM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware, firmware, and software engineering, with a proven ability to architect and build integrated solutions that leverage the capabilities of ARM-based platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of hardware, firmware, and software solutions for Qualcomm and Nvidia-based ARM devices running Windows on ARM.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and software engineers to define system architecture and specifications.

3. Conduct research and analysis to identify optimization opportunities and performance enhancements across hardware, firmware, and software layers.

4. Architect firmware and device drivers to ensure compatibility, stability, and performance on ARM-based platforms.

5. Architect software applications and utilities tailored for ARM architecture, optimizing performance and power efficiency.

6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

7. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in ARM-based computing, contributing insights and recommendations for future development.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in hardware, firmware, and software engineering, with a focus on ARM-based platforms.

3. Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, and assembly language programming for ARM architecture.

4. Extensive knowledge of hardware design principles, including SoC architecture, memory subsystems, and peripheral interfaces.

5. Experience developing firmware and device drivers for ARM-based systems, including familiarity with UEFI and ACPI standards.

6. Experience in software development for Windows on ARM, including application development, optimization, and debugging.

7. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.

8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
