Overview
The Commercial & New Payment Flows organization drives innovative products and solutions for our customers unlocking payment flows across key business areas covering Commercial and B2B, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Transfer Solutions. Products and solutions supported by the business include commercial cards, B2B, accounts payable and receivables, non-carded bill payments, and disbursements and remittances.
The role drives the go to market strategy ensuring product readiness and scalability across Commercial and New Payment Flows within US balancing the need for global scale with local market needs.
They will lead a cross-functional [regional] team focused on accelerating market expansion, influencing product development agendas, and driving revenue through strong commercialization across customer segments and product lines in collaboration with local market, region, and global teams.
Reports to the US Regional President and the Chief Commercial Payments Officer and is a member of both the Regional and Global leadership teams.
Role: Key Areas of Responsibility
• Partners with the Region President, and customers to identify and size market opportunities, segments and flows; develops and integrates the global strategic priorities into the Region go to market strategy.
• Drives the New Payment Flows strategy for the region and develops growth plans to deliver scale in partnership with region and key cross-functional partners.
• Understands customer and market needs, sharing insights with global product leaders to help shape product roadmaps
• Owns the P&L and financial outcomes for New Payment Flows and commercial products P&L in the Region, and co-manages the economic and commercial levers with global product management teams,
• Partners closely with Global Product, Region Product, sales and Marketing teams to enable the go to market strategies; owns and drives the commercialization plans, including commercial and pricing structures.
• Stays abreast of market, competitive, regulatory and industry issues to assess and address opportunities related to the competition, go to market approach, and time to market.
• Contributes to the global New Payment Flows strategy, leveraging insights from regional customers and consideration of market drivers to enable product enhancements and future innovation.
• Leads and develops a high-performing cross-functional team responsible for influencing a diverse range of customers and key internal stakeholders to drive the product strategies and roadmaps, increasing revenue, share and volume.
All About You: Key Skills/ Experiences
• General management experience working across multiple functions and geographies e.g., product, engineering, marketing, customer experience and sales.
• Expertise in creating and driving go-to-market product strategies that enable significant revenue generation across multiple products/segments and a diverse customer base.
• In-depth product knowledge across either Commercial, B2B, Small Medium Enterprises, cross border and/corporate banking.
• Will have managed significant product and/or market P&L’s, strategies, plans and KPI’s which reflect revenue growth, acceptance, profitability, and market growth.
• Expertise in building and managing strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally to include FI’s, Fin-Techs, merchants, governments, regulators, and internal partners. Strong influencing capabilities are essential.
• Ability to deliver significant value to customers through cross functional teams by solving complex problems, creating solutions and innovative products, while simultaneously growing in existing and new markets.
• Strategic leader with who builds, develops, and empowers teams and knows how to deploy and optimize organization resources in effective ways. Has led multi-function teams in matrixed organizations, and driven success through collaboration and strong influencing skills.
• In depth understanding of the external landscape, and able to assess and understand the competition, the political and social environment, regulatory challenges, market dynamics and the impact for our business.
