The Open API team is responsible for developing and managing innovative API-based products that open up Mastercard’s card network data and adhere to Mastercard’s Data & Tech Responsibility Principles. Hosted on the Mastercard Developers portal, these API services enable new use cases and solutions that create value for our cardholders and business partners.
The Open API team is looking for a Manager, Open API Commercialization to drive the commercialization of the BIN Lookup API product at scale, with Payfacs, Fintechs, Digital Merchants and Acquirers.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, drives collaboration across multiple teams, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
As a Manager, Open API Commercialization, you will:
• Identify scalable go-to-market strategies that support strategically significant opportunities
• Engage across regional product and business teams to plan and implement these strategies, and establish distribution channels and delivery processes
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, develop and maintain relevant models and KPIs to measure successful adoption / market penetration across multiple target segments
• Assist in closing new business deals in tandem with the Account Management and Business Development teams in a highly competitive consultative selling environment
• Assist with the creation of sales materials to evangelize and educate internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in providing subject matter expertise and identify and help prioritise product innovation opportunities
• Provide market intelligence and market requirements to the Product Management team to support product development and enhancement efforts

• Experience in a sales/commercial environment including interacting with customers and supporting deals
• Experience in defining and/or implementing a go-to-market strategy for digital products, preferably APIs
• Adept at engaging and leveraging internal resources to achieve success and contribute to the wider team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate to a wide variety of stakeholders, levels, and functions
• Sound commercial acumen and ability to influence in a large corporate environment

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
