We are hiring a MSS Manufacturing Technician. The MSS Manufacturing Technician II will manufacture both powder and liquid prototype cell culture media products. Weighing and Filling powder containers, labeling, case packaging, and product inspection.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspection of raw materials and packaging supplies for the lot; only stages the quantity of each item as per the product BOM.
• Performs set-up of crimping torqueing, shrink-seal, labeling, packaging, off-torque testing and other equipment and ensures that they operate within specifications outlined in SOPs.
• Maintains inventory stock with accuracy.
• Assembles buckets, boxes, bottles for packaging.
• Follow manufacturing protocols to formulate (weighing of solids and/or liquids), fill, label and package cell culture media.
• Record all information accurately according to standard operating procedures.
• Assures packaged product is palletized; identified and boxed per MSS procedure and stored in the proper storage location.
• Assures that all logbooks are maintained and that all required documentation is properly filled out in a timely manner, accurately and legibly.
• Coordinates and performs routine equipment maintenance.
• Understands and follows procedures to ensure that chemicals are handled properly.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and performs necessary housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as requested by Lead or Supervisor.

Required Skills/Education

• High School diploma, AA degree or equivalent, or college chemistry.
• Good work history
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. 0-2 years of relevant experience (medical device, food/vitamin processing or pharmaceutical preferred)
• General education (High School)
• Knowledge of Metric System.
• Ability to understand current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefits: (Include for roles that are/can be based in NY and CO) Don’t need for FISI PA

• For California, the base hourly range for this position is $18.50 to $29.50 hourly. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
