Job Abstract

Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, CA is seeking a Neonatologist to provide expert care and consulting services in neonatal medicine!

This position is at a 25-bed, Level III community NICU for a board-certified neonatologist, preferably with at least 2 years NICU experience after fellowship training, though recent fellowship graduates are welcome to apply.

• Clinical responsibilities include coverage of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing comprehensive care.

• Fosters an environment that supports performance improvement activities within the patient care settings and provides appropriate reports as requested.

• Maintains and enhances the support of quality patient care by identifying and implementing strategies working collaboratively with the entire care team.

• Will provide education to physicians, nurses, and other ancillary medical personnel.

Qualifications

1. Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Board Certification (or eligibility) in Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.
3. Unrestricted California license as Physician.
4. Torrance Memorial Medical Center Medical Staff Membership and ability to meet eligibility and credentialing requirements of Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation.
5. Commitment to developing and fostering a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.
6. Demonstrated competence in continuous quality improvement processes.
7. Evidence of exceptional clinical, and professional accomplishment.
8. Computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows and/or a comparable operating system that sufficiently provides for access to patient and other business information.
