Sr. Associate - Project Management, Talent Brand & Marketing PMO Team

We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented, communicative, and proactive Project Management Sr. Associate to join our Talent Brand & Marketing team (TB&M). We help inform and educate candidates, partners, and our associates about life at Capital One, our distinctive company culture and values.

As a Sr. Associate in Project Management at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for ensuring a well-managed environment for all processes supported by the Talent Brand & Marketing PMO team. The Sr. Associate Project Manager will be an integrative thinker who is motivated to drive change, has exceptional attention to detail, and consistently innovates while delivering results. Additionally, they will be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the company and have an ability to influence others.

In this role you will be responsible for keeping large projects organized, creative problem solving, and building long-term relationships with team members, agencies and partners, all while driving operational excellence for Capital One’s Talent Brand.

What You'll Do

• Work on medium to large-scale complex, cross-departmental projects that have a direct impact on the company 

• Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.

• Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.

• Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation

• Conduct regular meetings with the project team.  Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.

• Partner with leadership to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery on big roadmap deliverables. 

• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

• Identify ways to improve and streamline business process and be more effectively well managed across TB&M. 

The candidate will:

• Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work

• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

• Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands

• Display strong consulting and collaboration skills

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification 

• At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management 

• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Strong problem solving and influencing skills

• Work experience achieving results with complex projects
