Position Summary
The mission of the Division of Inclusive Excellence (IE) is to ensure that the University’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is embedded throughout all aspects of the University and its operation. Inclusive Excellence is charged to provide vision, leadership, and support to the university as it works to achieve its goal of being a welcoming and caring campus where all members of the Hornet community belong. Embedded within this goal is ensuring the success, development, and retention of all our students as well as the faculty, staff, administrators, and other Sacramento State stakeholders.
The Project Management Specialist reports to the Chief Diversity Officer and provides comprehensive project management support, including both substantive and administrative/design work for Inclusive Excellence. The position requires a high level of independent thinking and the ability to develop and implement project work plans on a wide range of projects within IE. The Project Management Specialist is responsible for tracking, collecting, managing, and reporting a variety of data sets relevant to the work of the Office for Cultural Transformation (OCT) which includes but is not limited to the areas of Belonging Education and Support, Employee Resource Groups and Cultural Initiatives, and Organizational Culture Change. This position provides administrative and analytical support to various operations within IE. In addition, this position serves as a liaison between IE and campus partners, ensuring effective and professional communication and service.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at https://www.csus.edu/clery.
The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for Sacramento State for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the Police Service Center located in the University Union.

Sacramento State University, as part of the CSU system, is a State of California Employer. As such, the University requires all employees (up)on date of hire to reside in the State of California.
As of January 1, 2022 the CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy prohibits the hiring of employees to perform CSU-related work outside the state of California.
