Regulatory Engagement Manager for Citi’s Banking franchise, responsible for supporting, monitoring, and reporting on Citi’s interactions with its regulators. Banking is organized around three lines of business: Investment Bank, which meets clients’ capital raising needs and provides merger and acquisition and equity and debt capital markets-related strategic financing solutions; Corporate Bank, which serves as the conduit of Citi’s full product suite to clients; and Commercial Bank, which helps mid-sized companies address the challenges of rapid growth and international expansion. The unified Banking & International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.
Key Activities Include:
- Manage interactions with regulators and internal stakeholders, including but not limited to: providing oversight of regulatory engagements; coordinating and managing communication related to examinations and continuous monitoring, coordinating and leading regulatory meetings with business unit personnel, and collaborating with senior management to provide guidance on regulatory matters and communication.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the interactions being handled.
- Communicate extensively (orally and in writing) and develop effective relationships with Citi’s regulators.
- Establish and develop effective relationships with Citi senior management including front office, second line (including Independent Risk, Finance, HR, and Legal), and third line (including Internal Audit) to obtain information/documentation to respond to regulatory requests proactively and on time with quality.
- Analyze and summarize information/documentation responsive to regulatory requests.
- Identify mitigating facts and circumstances (as applicable) to respond to potential issues identified during regulatory engagements, including the various stages of the exam management lifecycle.
- Monitor the full lifecycle of identified regulatory issues and ensure that concerns are communicated, assigned responsibility, and tracked to resolution.
- Maintain the centralized repository where documents inclusive of previous regulatory findings, reports, and other relevant documents are stored.
- Coordinate drafting of Response Letters and the development of Corrective Action Plans with associated target completion dates.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in banking, risk management, finance, compliance, legal or other control-related functions in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, a legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
- Demonstrated knowledge in institutional banking and/or credit risk.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree (i.e., JD, MBA) a plus.

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
