Palo Alto Cloud Engineer
The Opportunity:
On our team, you’ll work together with the client and application community to maintain a resilient security posture for highly visible applications. Using your expertise in Palo Alto security products, F5 application delivery, Kubernetes security, and Web Application and API Protection solutions, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. You’ll play an important role in security discussions with the application teams and leading vendors to prescribe best practices in design, implementation, and security principles within their development life cycle. You’ll also perform dynamic and static application performance testing, perform security requirements creation or generation level threat modeling leveraging tools, including SD Elements, and perform application-level testing using applications such as Burp Suite, Tenable, and Ixia.

You Have:
Experience with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls and Panorama
Experience with Azure Cloud architectures and Palo Alto Cloud reference architectures
Experience with Cloud containerization and security solutions
Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP
Knowledge of TLS protocol, web protocols, non-browser command line tools, Postman, and Fiddler
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) and Advanced Web Application Firewall (AWAF)
Experience securing enterprise web applications to be compliant with OWASP Top 10, CVSS, CWE, WASC, and SANS-25
Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and deploying IaC with VS Code
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments, including navigating and troubleshooting basic website connectivity issues
Knowledge of DoD networks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
