We are seeking a Bellperson to join our outstanding team. Our Bellpersons are responsible for greeting all guests upon arrival at the hotel and welcoming them with our Woodside Spirit of caring, warm and genuine hospitality. Duties include transporting luggage to guest rooms, informing guests of all hotel service and features and creating a memorable welcome and departure experience, while ensuring the Hotel's high standards of quality are consistently met. Escorts incoming hotel guests to their guest rooms, assist with hand luggage, and offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions. Transports guests' luggage from the point of arrival to the assigned guestroom. Assists guests with luggage from their current room to their re-assigned room. Assists guest in locating lost or misplaced luggage. Follow all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times. Correctly tags, stores and retrieves luggage from the storage area. Familiarizes guests with the hotel facilities and features while escorting the guest to his/her room. Assists guests and provide accurate directions and or information regarding the local area. Inspect guest's room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate. Identifies and explains all features of room such as the thermostat control, clock radio, television operation and door-lock. Familiarizes and explains to the guest how to place telephone calls and how to order on-command movies. Anticipates the guests needs and responds promptly and acknowledges all guests. Maintains positive guest relations at all time. Delivers messages, mail and faxes to guestrooms promptly. Retrieves and/or delivers articles for laundry and valet service. Assists guests and request transportation services when necessary. Transports guests in the hotel vehicle. Maintains an accurate log record of guest calls for service. Delivers packages, suitcases, and amenities to guests. Promptly answer bell stand telephone within 3 rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquette. Monitors and maintains the appearance of the lobby area and the luggage storage area. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. High school diploma is preferred. Previous hospitality experience is a luxury environment preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid California Driver License and a good driving record. CPR certification preferred.
