We are seeking an experienced Principal Security Specialist who can apply broad risk, compliance and regulatory knowledge to challenging and complex AI / ML initiatives..
Key job responsibilities
* You will shape and develop the strategy for what Responsible AI Assurance will look like and operationalize it globally.
* You will lead the development and implementation of frameworks, governance models, and risk management strategies that provide consistent assurance at scale regarding AI initiatives.
* You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders associated with AI/ML systems, to build fit for purpose mechanisms that make it easy to provide assurance on our AI approach, methodology, mechanisms, tooling and services, to customers and external stakeholders.
* You will conduct in-depth assessments and audits of AI/ML systems, evaluating their compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and Amazon's internal policies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
* You will serve as a subject matter expert on AI/ML assurance, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, best practices, and emerging trends in the field, and sharing your knowledge with internal and external stakeholders.
A day in the life
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, legal professionals, security engineers, audit and assurance professionals to review and assess the AI/ML initiatives.
* Conduct in-depth audits and assessments of AI/ML services, evaluating their compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and Amazon's internal policies.
* Develop and implement assurance frameworks, governance models, and risk management strategies tailored to AWS' AI/ML initiatives.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of AI/ML.
* Engage with stakeholders to understand their specific requirements and concerns related to AI/ML assurance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related fields, or equivalent experience.
-15+ years of experience in project/program management in a technical field.
-10+ years of IT security audit, assurance, governance+risk+compliance and/or relevant regulatory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Have experience in cloud technologies.
-Have an understanding of evaluating the design and effectiveness of IT controls
-Have Experience in Responsible AI/AI Regulation/AI Compliance/AI Assurance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $273,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
