Technical Advisor

That is why we need you, an experienced Principal Technical Advisor who can provide technical and execution leadership for strategic initiatives, drive world-class technology operations, and advise the CIO and CTO on strategies to implement the ARPA model.
As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You'll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. You'll leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You'll maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.?
You'll help clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the Agency, and be readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.
Strategic Planning and Advisory: Advise CIO and CTO on technology strategy and infrastructure innovation and improvements. Develop long-term IT roadmaps aligned to business. Identify emerging technologies and assess impact on organization.
Technology Leadership: Provide input into design and implementation of technology solutions. Lead and mentor technical teams.
Project Management: Oversea and manage high visibility, complex IT projects at the executive level. Coordinate across multiple product teams.
Infrastructure and Operations: Oversee the organizations technology infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Strategic Engagement and Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders across mission offices. Collaborate with other executives to align IT initiatives to agency OKRs.

15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles
Experience in managing projects at the executive level
Experience with technology infrastructure and operations, including cloud, ITIL, Identity Management, Mobility, and M365
Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
Experience with using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree
SAFE Cloud Computing CompTIA Certification
15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles with DARPA or another ARPA preferred
Experience with U.S. government health organizations
Ability to be self-driven, be a team player, and think strategically
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively
Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
