Job Purpose
Canoo is seeking a Maintenance Line Keeper that will be responsible for performing technical support to Production and the Maintenance teams. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of sensitive equipment and environments and will be responsible for using specialized equipment, including a scissor lift, to access and clean hard-to-reach areas. Candidate must have the ability to work with various teams in an industrial environment including manufacturing, maintenance, and facilities teams.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of sensitive equipment.
- Utilizing specialized equipment, including a scissor lift, to access and clean hard-to-reach areas.
- Maintenance Line Keeper’s Activities May Include:
- Barrel Changes for adhesive Sealer systems
- Cap Changes (Body Shop)
- Tip dresser blade replacements
- Torch reamer blade replacements
- Cleaning from Scissor Lifts and Boom Lifts
- Technical Cleaning on All Automation equipment
- Filter Changes on Equipment
- Hazardous Waste Spill Clean-Up.
- Paint Shop Cleaning Includes:
- Changing Robot Paint Covers
- Cleaning of Oven, Heater Box, Spray Booth and Air Handling Systems
- Cleaning PTED tanks and pits de-sludge. (Phosphate E-Coat System)
- Knowledge of Cleaning Techniques, Equipment, and chemicals.
- Knowledge of Hand tools and Power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in cleanrooms or sensitive environments, adhering to contamination control protocols.
- The ‘20’ of this position is to Assist Production Maintenance on breakdowns, special projects and Preventative Maintenance activities. (PM)
Required Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Manufacturing or industrial Janitorial work.
- Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high quality work.
- Ability to read and understand equipment instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitious duties, including walking long distances and standing for long periods.
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Must be reliable (on time, present and ready to work hard).
- Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid scissor lift operator certification or the ability to get certified.
- Comfortable working at heights using a scissor lift or boom lift.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Physical Requirements for Physical Positions
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to lift up to 50 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/ stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery.

The Maintenance Line Keeper position is a safety sensitive position due to the nature of complex assembly work and work with machinery and tools.
