Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. We are the leading provider of services for the life cycle management of batteries used in hybrid and electric vehicles. You will work in a fast-paced environment where these batteries are repaired, refurbished and repurposed.
The candidate is responsible for playing a leading role in managing the workforce assigned to battery maintenance. They will focus on meeting the customer’s needs in a high pace manufacturing/maintenance environment. This candidate will resolve the business risks while invoking a team atmosphere of continuous improvement.
Job and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and audit employee work to ensure that the required work is satisfactorily completed.
- Supervise the workflow and activities of the employees to ensure that all work is completed promptly and meets the established Cox EVBS quality standards.
- Monitor employee’s work processes to ensure that production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational Instructions (OIs) are adhered to.
- Monitor and aid in ensuring established guidelines for a safe work environment are met to achieve compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as Cox EVBS safety standards.
- Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
- Identify areas for eliminating waste and improving efficiency.
- Onboard new employees as required.
- Set the manufacturing schedule and coordinate the shipment of raw and finished material as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in related discipline strongly desired (Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Leadership, Mathematics, etc.).
- Experience with Battery Manufacturing
- Experience in automotive industry production.
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Excellent teambuilding, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent supervisory and organizational skills.
Working Environment
Variable, consisting of both the office environment and the manufacturing floor. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and sanitary footwear.
