Position Summary
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will continuously interact with our users (externally and internally) to provide education, and insights and drive adoption of our e-commerce platform. The sales team combines product expertise, industry knowledge, insights, and a commitment to helping customers succeed on the platform to uncover prospects’ needs, priorities, and opportunity areas. You will work closely with Product leadership, collaborate with teammates to shape our sales process, support the platform growth, and enable customers’ success.
The SDR will be assigned a defined geography of customers.
Responsibilities
After initial and ongoing training become a product expert on the platform.
Follow up on daily lead generation from CRM and other outlets.
Handle detailed questions about product capabilities and provide solutions to ensure the adoption of the platform.
With a strong understanding of our product, conducting demos to highlight product capabilities aligned to customer needs. This will be done through virtual demos and other outlets.
Establish relationships, engage, and "win over" key decision-makers within our existing and prospective customers' businesses, including C-level executives, sales reps, accounting teams, and other functional departments.
Within your assigned territory – work with the other internal department team members on larger custom programs from start to finish to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Document customer insights around the platform for ongoing enhancements.
Actively work to meet and exceed established customer touchpoints: outbound dials, VSC, chat response time.
Provide comprehensive and strategic handoff to the commercial sales team.
Promote a positive and collaborative team environment internally and externally.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a phone-based customer sales/business development role / SaaS experience preferred.
Ability to multitask, and clearly communicate through phone, email, and chat
Be a storyteller using creativity and curiosity to influence prospective clients
High attention to detail with research and investigative skills
Experience with Microsoft Applications
Ability to adapt to changing environment
Travel 5% - 10%: Industry Trade Shows, Customer Specific Events
