Job Abstract

Under the supervision of the Parnassus Operations Manager, the Sr. Building Maintenance Worker performs semi-skilled, sub-journeyman level tasks while working independently, as a member of a crew or in support of journeyman craft personnel in the performance of miscellaneous maintenance/repair work.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

• Five years experience working with hand tools in a maintenance environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work swing shift.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds, to bend, stoop, crawl, climb ladders and walk for extended periods; certified by a physical examination.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing.
• California driver’s license (CDL).
• Establishes friendly, courteous, and professional relationships with hospital staff, patients, and the public.
• Provides high-quality professional services to maintain the reliability of all Medical Center systems and equipment while maintaining a safe, clean, and responsive environment for patient care.
