EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Financial Analyst in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support for North America Consumer Division in all aspects of analyzing and reporting group financial results to include in-depth analysis of revenues, costs, Balance Sheet, and cash flow.
- Work closely with Hughes Accounting organization to close the book each month and assure accounting policies and procedures have been implemented properly.
- Assist the Consumer Finance team and Consumer management team with monthly analysis of financial results, monthly updates to forecasts, and the annual budget process.
- Work closely with Consumer business group and management to prepare financial analysis necessary in understanding business performance.
- Proactively seeking ways to improve existing reporting and forecasting processes, identify specific areas and processes for automation, and enhance business and program economics.
- Assist Consumer group in special projects as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years’ experience performing business and financial analysis
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong knowledge in data mining and modeling
- Strong attention to detail
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Highly knowledgeable in financial statements
- A strong foundation in mathematics, statistics and programming
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance
