The Opportunity:
The digital merchandising associate will be responsible for creating and implementing merchandising strategies to enhance the online shopping experience, drive sales, and increase customer satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that products are displayed effectively, and promotions are executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, nimble, creative, and data-driven with a strong understanding of e-commerce and online merchandising best practices.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Works with the manager of digital merchandising to develop and execute online merchandising strategies to achieve sales and conversion goals.
- Manage the online product catalog, including product setup, categorization, and optimization of product pages.
- Collaborate with marketing, IT, customer service, web production, and inventory teams to plan and implement promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Analyze site metrics, customer behavior, and sales data to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to merchandising strategies.
- Optimize the user experience by ensuring the site is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and consistently updated with fresh content.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure product availability.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and apply best practices.
- Utilize A/B testing to assess the impact of merchandising changes and continuously improve site performance.
- Work with the web development team to implement site enhancements and troubleshoot any issues.
- Create and maintain detailed reports on merchandising activities, performance, and ROI.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital marketing, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, CMS, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic knowledge of web design principles.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering an exceptional online shopping experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they apply to e-commerce.
- This role does require some availability on nights and weekends.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $72,000 and $89,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
