Raytheon is seeking an experienced temporary Electrical Engineer specializing in integration and test of digital modules, and hardware troubleshooting of digital modules and FPGAs. This opportunity is for a versatile digital design engineer possessing a blend of practical application, and hands-on integration abilities. The candidate will be able to troubleshoot and lead digital hardware and process issues down to the CCA, FPGA, and component levels. The ability to independently solve problems as well as lead a subsystem sustainment team to solve an issue and determine a path forward for sustainment airborne radar hardware will be necessary. The candidate must be comfortable working and overseeing a team of engineers on commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to meet hardware requirements within a lab environment. This position will be onsite in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Lead a team of engineers and test engineers to provide sustainment support of the build and test of proven hardware designs. Lead the team through issues resolution and troubleshooting
Provide technical solutions for the issues during system integration, testing, test reporting, verification, and validation
Assess technical documentation correlation to the requirements and IV&V engineering principles.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires 10 years minimum experience in Digital design and FPGAs design, integration, and test
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience integrating and troubleshooting hardware and firmware for Digital circuit hardware applications for Airborne Radar
Provide technical leadership in advanced radar systems on digital circuits; ability to lead a sustainment support team
Experience communicating and effectively functioning as part of a larger team
Ability to present technical results and path forward to Program Leadership
Experience with system issues associated with digital design, such as signal integrity, crosstalk, signal latency and delay, transmission line reflections, VHDL, etc.
Experience with common test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Signal & Pulse Generators, and Oscilloscopes
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years minimum experience in Digital design and FPGAs design, integration, and test
Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
Experience in resolving sustainment hardware issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers
Experience working in a DoD environment
A STEM degree is typically required. Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in RF/Microwave and Analog Circuits are preferred.

The salary range for this role is $62.50 to $130.77. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
