Position Summary
The primary function of a Material Handler is to assist in the daily operation of the warehouse as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately transfers and moves materials in a timely manner.
- Responsible for retrieving and staging materials for shipping.
- Inspects all labels and documentation for accuracy.
- Stores material and record transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains a safe working environment.
- Ensures that GMP, housekeeping and safety practices are being followed.
- Responsible for general maintenance of the warehouse (cleaning floors, equipment, and racks as appropriate).
- Responsible for reporting any safety issues to supervisor.
- Works closely with the supervisor on prioritizing tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent level of education is required.
- 1 - 3 years of previous warehouse experience is required.
- Must have experience operating a reach truck and a forklift.
- Ability to lift / maneuver up to 66 lbs. of heavy materials on a regular basis is required.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
- Self-motivated individual willing to perform hard work.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Experience with SAP and/or RF scanning is a plus.
