A week in the life of our Project Management Specialist:
Project Planning and Initiation:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets to guide project execution.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
Lead project teams in executing project activities according to the established plan.
Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and overcome obstacles during project implementation.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives and deliverables. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance and Control:
Establish quality standards and metrics to measure project performance and outcomes.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Project Closure and Evaluation:
Coordinate project closure activities, including documentation, handover, and lessons learned sessions.
Job Requirements
BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Information Technology Management, Cyber Security or related Technical Discipline.
Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience supporting defense acquisition, and three (3) years of experience in support of DoD Acquisition management.
Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
Demonstrated experience working with large scale systems for an organization with widely distributed geographic sites.
Demonstrated managerial experience leading employees supporting IT services.
IAM Level II in Information Assurance (IA) in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 “Cyberspace Workforce Management” (or achieve within six months after TOA).
PMP and ITIL
Top Secret clearance required at time of hire. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past five years is required. Individual must be eligible under the SAP Nomination Process for access to SAP/SAR.
Advanced Certification: Possession of additional project management certifications beyond the basic requirement (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner) demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and proficiency in specialized project management methodologies.
