Summary The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing correspondence for the department and to schedule meetings for the physicians and other administrative staff. The Administrative Assistant acts independently to implement, perform, and oversee functions that provide administrative support to various departments. Establishes a cooperative working relationship with staff, physicians and administration to facilitate timely and high quality completion of work. Creates a positive office image by responding professionally to all patients, staff and other customers. Performs and manages basic office operations and works with the staff and physicians to facilitate the daily flow of the practice. Responsibilities may also include greeting, registering and scheduling patients in the computer system as well as assisting the surgical coordinator with the scheduling of surgical patients when needed.
