Pay: $18/hr
As a Forklift Operator, you'll be pivotal in the movement, storage, and organization of merchandise using material handling equipment. Your responsibilities will include operating sit-down and/or clamp forklifts safely and efficiently. Additionally, you may be required to fulfill order filler or checker duties.
Responsibilities:
Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage areas.
Prepare and pull products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct picking duties efficiently, meeting customer service standards.
Load product into trailers from staging or storage areas.
Maintain equipment and follow prescribed work methods for safe operation.
Keep records and reports for inventory control and security.
Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
Conduct cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies promptly.
Utilize RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy.
Candidates for this position should ideally have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 months of forklift or warehouse distribution experience. Physical endurance is crucial, with the ability to stand or walk for up to 10-12 hours and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working in varied environments and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Possession of a forklift certification is mandatory, and attention to detail, excellent customer service, and basic math skills are preferred.
