Position Summary:
Directly responsible for all production departments, production functions and accountable for all operational activities within those departments. Also responsible for coordination of non-conforming material.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Set objectives and plans to match corporate objectives.
Coordinate IDR disposition, rework & Scrap activities including MRR meetings.
Create office discipline that is maintained to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
Coordinate and direct functions in their retrospective departments
Provides schedule information and priorities to all manufacturing departments.
Develop and encourage department interaction.
Meet company objectives: Near term (shipments) and long term (productivity and quality improvement).
Build communication bridge between forge and after-forge facilities, through a quality and communications improvement program.
Create and promote training and cross-training to permit promotion from within.
Maintain continuous material movement between production plants.
Motivate and plan all departments to meet short- and long-term objectives.
Sets priorities for all production scheduling and is responsible for providing updated status information to manufacturing. Provides support to department employees as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills:
Manages subordinate managers and supervisors who supervise a total of 30-50 employees in the pre and post forge production departments.
Intermediate use of MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and QAD; other productivity tools.
Quality focused & production driven.
Must be capable of working effectively with minimal direction and supervision.
Process improvement experience is desirable (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Must possess excellent problem solving, organizational and verbal & written communication skills.
Solid, overall business acumen and a strong mindset for continuous improvement.
Attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
Work requires verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering required; 10+ years Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing experience (forgings and machining backgrounds preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $103300 to $154900 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
