Lead School Nurse
Part-time | Hudson County Area (Hoboken & Bayonne District)

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time, lead school nurse to work in Hudson County (Hoboken and Bayonne), NJ non-public schools. Candidates must have an active NJ RN License. The ideal candidate will have experience with pediatric patients. This is a part time position. Compensation is $42-45/hr. Candidates must be willing to travel locally to various campuses.
How you’ll be there for students:
Review immunization records for school age children
Assist with Medical/Dental Screenings
Prepare and file state reports as required by law
Conduct audiometric, scoliosis, vision & Height and Weight screenings
Provide other optional screenings as needed, ex. Blood Pressure
Maintain student health records
Administer medication and/or treatment when necessary for pupils to attend school
Provide first aid and emergency care to all school age children
Provide the following services as promulgated by individual State Law/Regulation
Notify parent/guardian if a screening defect is found upon screening and recommend appropriate follow-up
Observe and recommend to principal, exclusion of students who show evidence of communicable diseases and/or whose immunization records are not received from parent/guardian after numerous attempts
Submit monthly report of health services and screenings performed to Catapult Learning Regional Director
Other duties may be assigned
What we’ll need from you:
Valid New Jersey RN License, as required by contract
Local daily travel
Pediatric experience is preferred but not require
Basic Life Support CPR - Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider card, as required by contract.
Catapult Learning employees are subject to state and local licensure and pre-employment screening.
Must be proficient with virtual platforms, i.e. Zoom, MS Office, etc.
