Summary:
-
Must have experience with aircraft interior stress analysis (primary structure, bulk heads, monuments, etc. NOT SEATS)
-
FEM Software required: FEMAP experience preferred, will consider Patran. Open to training FEMAP for candidates willing to work onsite in Tustin, CA.

Minimum 8 years experience onsite in Tustin, CA.

Minimum 10 years experience for remote candidates..
-
Strong COMPOSITES experience & knowledge needed.

Preference given to those candidates with HYPERSIZER experience, but HyperSizer not required

Preference given to those candidates with FEMAP experience.
Required Skills:

Key skills: FEMAP, composite structures, hand calc exp, hypersizer, aircraft interior

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
-
Minimum 8 years or more of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods
-
Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design, and analysis processes
-
Knowledge of composites manufacturing and sizing of composite structures using FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures.

Proficiency in FEMAP.
-
Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques. Hand calc exp. Hypersisor exp.
-
Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes a plus.
-
Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired

Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR º120.15)
