Position at Catapult Learning

ACADEMIC TUTOR NEEDED:

Catapult Learning is in search of an Academic Math Tutor at a private high school in Richmond, VA. This is an hourly position for a licensed teacher seeking part-time work (15-20 hours/ week). Tutors will provide academic tutoring to eligible math students during the school day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Provide instructional supplemental tutorial services with the necessary expertise in math.
Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Company classroom or to mobile classroom.
Establish and maintain electronic student files as required including parent permission, lesson plans, and end of program progress report.
Record daily attendance in STARS electronic system.
Maintain communication with classroom teachers of students, school officials, and parents of students.

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Must be licensed to teach math by VA Department of Education
Teaching experience preferred

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. Attend training with Company supervisors as required by Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
