Role and Responsibilities:
General, broad-scope, ambulatory care, and performing office-based procedures. Partner with the CMO and Medical Services Manager to develop and deliver high quality patient care resulting in a high level of quality and patient satisfaction. Work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Be flexible and adaptable, moving practice location as necessary to address patient access challenges. Patient care accounts for approximately 60% of time.
Lead and directly supervise advance practice providers across multiple sites in Southern California in achieving organization goals and objectives in a manner reflective of our Core Values and Mission. Recruit and retain advance practice providers ensuring adequate coverage across all locations. Train and Mentor advance practice providers in meeting and exceeding quality and productivity goals. Leadership duties account for approximately 40% of time.
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as treatment records, test results, referrals, medical guidance, correspondence, protocols, and procedure manuals. Ability to write treatment notes and encounters. Ability to speak effectively to all team members and levels within the organization.
Reasoning & Mathematical skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands – Repetitive motions and routine use of standard office equipment such as medical devices, computers, telephones, copiers/scanners, filing cabinets. Ability to see, speak, walk, hear, stand, use of hand/fingers to handle or feel; climb stairs, stoop, carry/lifting to 20 lbs. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent standing and movement in chairs, in and out of patient examination rooms. Ability to physically conduct all assessment and treatment measures of patients. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. It includes open offices, office equipment, such as phones, computers, printer/copy machines, and waiting areas. The demands of the position include travel to assigned clinics and occasional organization-wide activities.

Incumbents must be available to work at least one Saturday shift or more per month, depending on the business need.

MSN-NP/DNP, or MSPA/DPA
License/ Certifications:
Licensed NP/PA in the State of California
DEA
Basic Life Support
Valid California Divers License
Experience:
5 or more years of experience providing direct patient care.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to interface effectively with staff, volunteers, and other physicians/providers.
Ability to obtain and maintain credentials at St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers, Medi-Cal, and Medi-Cal MCOs.
Ability to inspire and lead others in service of the community

Experience:
Experience providing direct patient care in an outpatient community-based setting.
Experience leading and supervising others, especially medical providers.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates the ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter.
