Job Abstract

RBC Bearings Incorporated (NYSE: RBC/RBCP) is a leading international manufacturer of highly engineered precision bearings, components, and essential systems for the industrial, defense, and aerospace industries. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Assist with repair minor electrical, plumbing, painting repairs.
• Perform low level repairs or installations
• Perform basic janitorial functions, when required, but not limited to:
• Collect and dispose of facility trash (office and factory)
• Collect and dispose of machine/ equipment wastes (metal chips)
• Report/Communicate safety hazards, emergencies, and unusual situations immediately
• Load and unload various chemical drums when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record
• Follow instructions provided by department manager of designee

Education:

• High school diploma or General education diploma (GED)

Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience as general handyman/maintenance experience.

• General handyman/maintenance experience including but not limited to:
• Basic plumbing
• Basic electrical
• Light carpentry such as painting and patching drywall
• Exterior preventative maintenance

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Experience with Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).

• Must be able to read and interpret chemical Safety Data Sheets (SOS)
• Adheres to company established safety rules and regulations
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to maintain an acceptable level of job / task productivity
• Must have a positive work attitude

Physical & Environmental Factors:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Pay Range: $18 to $22/hour
