This position will be located in Sterling, VA, where the individual will be responsible for managing property for a Government contract. Works independently to ensure timely reconciliation of all relevant Government Property records through proactive collaboration with Line Program Managers and Logisticians, Contracts Manager, Procurement, and Accounting. Is the leader for the contract in working with the IC, DCMA and other agency Property administrators/auditors. Works with Line and staff functions to insure compliance with applicable FAR and contract property provisions, DCMA guidance, and company Government Property Manual. Conducts internal program location self-assessments. Some travel required.
More about this role:
- Ensure the contract’s Government Property manual, processes, and checklists are appropriately completed in accordance with the company defined policy and federal procurement regulations.
- Must be experienced and knowledgeable of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations and Government Property management methodologies and processes.
- Must be able to reconcile inventory input from line to corporate property records relating to all Government Property functions, through deployed Asset Smart property system or manually.
- Responsible for working with Line Program Managers and Logisticians to address issues and discrepancies in records.
- Conducts self-assessments in accordance with Property Manual and interacts with DCMA and Agency Property Administrators and audits.
- Responsible for leading responses to audits, including coordinating necessary input from Line and staff functions.
- Advises management on status. Researches and recommends updates to company Government Property manual and policies and procedures that may benefit own job functions and others.
- Requires an ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders and Government representatives at various levels of the company and work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- Regularly works to achieve operational objectives within the job area with direct impact on department results.
- Assists staff with domestic and international shipments of property and coordinates with the Shipping and Receiving department.
- A current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
You'll bring these qualifications:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five years of related Government Property experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the FAR and Government Property functions and inventory processes is required.
- Current National Security Clearance at the TS level and ability to obtain SCI level clearance
