Come join a team that values quality service, integrity, and accountability. About This Role: In this position you will be working as psychiatric nurse, duties include but not limited to:
Obtaining primary care screening on all patients entering our agency as part of the intake assessment.
Obtain vital signs, height, weight, BMI, medical history including diagnoses and medication list, other providers’ contact information, last physical exam.
Assist obtaining clinical information from other medical providers.
Complete treatment plans.
Educating patients and caregivers about medications, labs, nutrition, and related health information.
Enter primary care screening notes and nursing notes into electronic health record.
Accurately enter verbal orders received from physicians.
Prepare and process necessary labwork, review lab results, and notify prescribing doctor of lab findings.
Maintain folder for each physician with lab results, PAP forms, authorizations, and other written information.
Manage phone calls from pharmacies, labs, other providers, patients, and caregivers.
Document and clearly communicate instructions given to pharmacies, labs, other providers, patients, and caregivers.
Administer injectable medications and maintain schedule for Long Acting Injectables as ordered.
Refer and coordinate with Patient Assistance Program.
Store and document all medications according to state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Preferences: Associate’s degree or two year technical certificate in nursing; Active Practical Nurse License issued by the commonwealth of VA 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric nurse Experience administering psychiatric medication Experience with E.H.R. and entering data in E.H.R. Experience supporting patients with telehealth Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license. Must pass DMV record check.
Must pass TB test.
Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification.
Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint based National Criminal History Record Check. Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Starting Salary Range: $32.98-$46.49 Hour
