Job Abstract

This position is an exciting opportunity to be apart of Mumm Napa Winery's new production facility located in American Canyon! We are looking for a skilled warehouse professional to help implement and manage the shipping and receiving process, as well inventory control for the new facility.

Position Summary: 
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for the shipping & receiving, tracking, and control of inventory and merchandise throughout Mumm Napa’s warehouse. Maintains shipping and receiving documentation, performs data entry, safely and proficiently operates various forklifts and attachments. 

Key Responsibilities      

Material Handling (95%);

• Move finished goods, WIP inventory, dry goods, and other supplies throughout the warehouse by use of forklift and carton clamp
• Load and unload all outgoing and incoming materials
• Responsible for executing long term and short term storage plans, WIP transfer movements and consolidation as required for all tirage inventory
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of products with effective management of warehouse space
• Accurately pick and pull appropriate product from assigned locations
• Assists with the coordination of quarantined inventories and disposition of obsolete materials

Administrative (5%);

• Liaises with carriers and drivers on the delivery of incoming and outgoing  materials
• Enters shipping & receiving, material status, and transactional data into production software systems and databases (JDE E1)
• Collects, organizes, and files all shipping and receiving related documentation
• Works closely with the Production Supervisor and Logistics Supervisor to administer regular inventory counts
• Responds appropriately and timely to inventory discrepancies, performs investigations, and conducts problem solving
• Responsible for all sustainability matters in assigned work area, completes regularly scheduled inspections/audits, and notifies supervisor of any required attention

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

• 3 years’ experience in fast pace manufacturing/ warehousing environment
• 3 years’ Forklift experience
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to repeatedly lift a case of wine (40-50 lbs)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time at the various bottling stations
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, finger and operate machinery
• Ability to work in a cold and noisy environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail a must
• Able to maintain composure in fast moving environment

Desirable:

• Industry experience preferred
• Bilingual speaking, English and Spanish, preferred

Special Conditions:

• Out of hours work will be required
• Flexible working hours
• Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting.
• Intrastate travel as required; current driver’s license.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $22.00-5.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
