Position Purpose
The People Business Partner is a consultative and operational role focused on enabling internal clients to achieve business results. The incumbent has a solution-focused mindset, is seen as an operational expert and has the ability to pivot into strategic leadership when needed. Key for the PBB is a viewpoint in sharing responsibility for the outcomes that the business achieves and collaborating across business lines to deliver sound and robust strategic partnerships to assigned client groups. Legal and administrative compliance are as important to this role as ensuring consistent processes and equipping key clients with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively lead their teams. This includes ongoing coaching, counseling, analytics to drive business solutions, organizational diagnostics, and feedback to leaders on various people-related matters. This role is central to the local leadership team and takes lead on most rollouts of People (HR) initiatives within assigned client groups.
GENERAL
- Act as internal organization consultant and change management partner.
- Ensure fluid communications with the global head office.
PEOPLE TEAM (HUMAN RESOURCES)
- Develop and demonstrate a high level of knowledge regarding HR policies, practices, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations to communicate the same internally (stakeholders, employees).
- Assist with development, implementation and governance of people practices and procedures throughout all phases of the people experience journey (attraction, candidate, onboarding, development, and transition).
- Participate and/or lead in seeking/achieving resolutions to people relations issues (complaints, harassment allegations, etc.).
- Supports People Team projects and collaborates with other team members on continuous improvement opportunities to create more efficient and effective programs and processes across the organization.
- Proactively supports the delivery of People programs and processes.
- Ensure administrative compliance related to employees and collaborators.
- Develop and demonstrate a professional demeanor that promotes positive communication at all levels and creates successful working relationships with diverse groups.
- Conduct research through various methods (data collection, surveys etc.) to proactively identify trends and work to get to root cause of problematic situations that impact the group/function/organization.
- Provide advice and recommendations to local leadership team for resolution of daily issues.
- Assist in the implementation of workflow matters related to HR technology as deemed necessary.
TALENT MANAGEMENT
- Partner with the business to conduct resource planning and identify talent needs; partner with other People Team disciplines to develop plan to proactively address.
- Support Centers of Excellence in rolling out recruiting, training, performance management, and management of various People initiatives across business
- Oversee the development and implementation of local recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development, evaluation and exit process for staff.
- Analyze, evaluate and maintain records of staff performance evaluations.
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT
- Act as internal organization consultant and change management partner.
- Identify issues and provide analysis and/or develop recommendations based on organizational diagnostics done through data analytics that will help the organization in determining the best viable solution to potential business/people issues.
- Partner with People Team peers and organization leaders to formulate strategic and practical plans to address human capital matters.
- Partner with peers in the identification of organizational diagnostics to determine where there are potential barriers, org design/effective issues and provide viable solutions to the business.
- Contribute to the analysis of the company's performance and financial reviews.
- Represent the company within local organizations and associations to ensure the company's influence within assigned markets.
COMPLIANCE
- Ensure the preparation and updating of various administrative and legal agreements as needed. such as non-disclosure agreements, supplier contracts, subcontractor and consultant contracts and contracts related to project production (clients).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
CULTURE AND WELL-BEING
- Partner with Culture Team to devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture management.
- Ensure the maintenance of the company's employer brand image by maintaining relations with the Culture and Branding sectors.
- Implement D&I strategies and policies when needed. Contribute to the development of a healthy and dynamic work environment.
Competencies
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Some experience in project management, preferably HR related.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices
- Solid understanding of research methods and analysis.
- Computer savvy with working knowledge of human resource IT (ADP, ATS, etc.)
- Prefer intermediate to advanced excel skills (pivot tables), PowerPoint presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and formulate business plans with site leadership in an environment that encompasses a diverse group of

Minimum Qualifications
To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or related area
- 5+ years of related HR work experience is required
- Experience or education in employment law or other regulatory areas, and work experience in recruitment is preferred.
