Position Purpose:
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for providing in depth data analysis, administration, and communication in support of all Saint Anthony Hospital compensation programs. Conducts research and makes recommendations that inform and elevate SAH pay practices and programs. Develops compensation tools and resources; advises HR colleagues and other organization staff members regarding compensation practices and policies, and administers all compensation functions in the HR/Payroll system.
Essential Functions:
- Recommends, develops and supports the implementation of compensation program guidelines, processes and practices in alignment with Saint Anthony Hospital (SAH) policies and strategic objectives.
- Conducts routine and annual market benchmarking and financial modeling to identify trends and recommend cost-effective compensation changes that align with financial objectives and meet organizational needs.
- Performs pay equity analysis and makes recommendations as needed to ensure consistency and equity in all SAH pay practices.
- Has primary accountability for managing compensation, job, and position data in HR systems and ensuring data integrity and compliance. Participates in the development, testing and ongoing support of data integrations.
- Has primary responsibility for compensation data reporting and supports all other HR reporting to internal stakeholders and outside government agencies, as needed.
- Supports the administration of all compensation programs, including salary planning, salary increases, competitive market analysis, salary survey submission, job analysis and planning.
- Conducts job evaluations and analysis, reviewing compensation data and job descriptions for consistency and accuracy. Develops, organizes, and maintains a centralized job description library.
- Develops presentations, communications, and materials related to the implementation of compensation programs and processes.
- May provide HRIS support in ensuring the accuracy of position classifications, including job codes, titles, FLSA statues, etc.by conducting periodic classification audits.
- Maintains knowledge of employment law and assures compliance with regulatory agencies. Reviews and analyzes changes to local, state, and federal laws related to compensation and benefits and reports/recommends changes to management.
- Actively contributes as a team member within Human Resources, participating in and completing special projects and assignments as needed.
General Job Requirements:
- BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR-Compensation required. Healthcare compensation, including physician compensation experience is highly preferred.
- CEBS, CCP/CBP and SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
- Strong technical skills required with proficiency in HR/Payroll systems and all Microsoft Office products; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Ability to perform detailed data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent problem solving, planning and organization skills.
- Ability to relate and work well with, advise and influence strong, independent thinkers.
- Must work well independently, and in collaboration with teams, and always maintain a professional demeanor.
