DIRECTV is seeking a Salesforce Architect trusted advisor who balances technical acumen with communication skills, ensuring successful implementations that stand the test of time. In this role you will establish best practices to drive a coherent and consistent approach to the platform, keeping it secure, performant, and reliable while quickly delivering business value. You will shape the architecture that drives business success.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Solution Design and Strategy
- Organization Strategy and Data Model:
- Design the Salesforce Org’s user access, strategy, and data model.
- Environment and sandbox strategy.
- Define best practices that ensure scalability, security, data privacy, performance, and business agility and stay up to date with latest salesforce capabilities.
- Best practices to manage a multi-team development environment including code versioning, sharing, automation, and deployment management across various environments/Orgs using Copado CI/CD pipeline.
Technical Solutions
- Translate business requirements into well-architected, enterprise scale solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products.
- Lead technical design sessions, designing and documenting technical solutions that are aligned with the business objectives.
- Responsible for integration patterns, design principles, and data migration strategies.
Trade-offs and Decision-Making
- Recommend the best solution for a given set of requirements. Weigh trade-offs and articulate the pros and cons of different approaches.
- For each solution, find the right balance across point-and-click configuration, code and customization, and external integration.
- Scalability and Technical Debt: responsible for choosing solutions that will scale as the user base grows and won’t accumulate technical debt or require frequent manual changes over time.
Balancing Technical and Soft Skills
- Broad and Deep Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of Salesforce products and technologies.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Code Literacy: Ability to read code and recommend best practices.
- Declarative Expertise: Proficiency in the declarative (clicks, not code) side of the platform sets apart a good architect from a great one.
Educating and Leading Teams
- Technical Team Leadership: Guide and educate their teams on technical best practices.
- Coaching and Motivating: Coach and motivate multi-disciplinary teams of Salesforce professionals.
- Strategic Approach: Develop and execute tactical plans to support the overall solution strategy.
- Help the development team identify the root cause of complex application issues.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of software delivery experience in a 24/7 environment.
- Experience implementing large scale enterprise solutions using Salesforce Service/Sales Cloud.
- Continuous learning approach on Salesforce best practices and latest product enhancements (Data Cloud, AI, etc.).
- Understanding of how to implement Salesforce in a complex, highly integrated, large enterprise setting.
- Creativity in driving native Salesforce capabilities and minimizing customization.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint platform.
- Experience with high volume call center environment is a plus.
- Work across multiple concurrent work streams to help ensure alignment, coherence, and adherence to best practices.
- Strong understanding of how to implement salesforce security model in an enterprise with over 20k users with a broad set of profiles, locations, and access needs.
- Understanding of Copado CI/CD pipeline, DevOps process automation.
- Outstanding communications skills, written and verbal.
- A bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Independent problem solver with a customer- and client-focused approach.
This role may require occasional travel, less than 5%.
This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States, with a preference for the Los Angeles, CA area. #LI-Remote

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $140,790 - $255,530
Low (N1): $140,790 - $211,090
Mid (N2): $148,200 - $222,200
High (N3): $163,020 - $244,420
Top (N4): $170,430 - $255,530
