What you will do-
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the activities of employees engaged in manufacturing activities including but not limited to training and supervising, maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment, ensuring Operations and Quality metrics are achieved, and upholding compliance with safety and quality standards in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will manage a team of approximately 20 direct reports that will work in different roles in the following areas: assembly, finished assembly inspection, material handling, and packaging. This is an onsite role. The employee must work 100% at the Stryker manufacturing site in San Jose, CA.
You will supervise all activities performed by Manufacturing Associates and ensure product is manufactured to the validated state as documented in work instructions
You will manage personnel responsibilities and issues including but not limited to vacation approval, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, training, conflict resolution, and professional development
You will forecast and execute on staffing needs to meet demands of the business. You will create daily and monthly production targets in partnership with Supply Planning and monitor production results, i.e., supply plan attainment, waste, downtime, and overtime
You will lead resolution of production-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company, i.e., Engineering, Supply Planning, R&D, Finance, Marketing, etc.
You will partner with the Operations Support Staff team (Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Finance) to set direction and priorities to meet Key Performance Indicators in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, lean six sigma, and customer service.
You will manage self and team in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to patient safety, product quality, and compliance with the Stryker Quality Manual
You will drive the Stryker culture by promoting an environment of respect, open communication, and positivity
You will assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures & ensure all established policies and procedures are followed by employees
You will maintain a working knowledge of operating systems pertaining to the work area
What you need-
Bachelor’s degree -required
4 years of production or transferable experience -required
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others
$85,500 - $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
